TEDxUniversidaddeNavarra, shaking the ordinary!

12 students have launched this international initiative, which brings together thinkers and entrepreneurs from different fields.

The University of Navarra was the venue for the first TEDx event. TEDx event held in the region. degree scroll This international meeting , organized by students of the academic center, was called "Shaking the ordinary" and brought together speakers such as the war journalist David Beriain; Patxi Echeveste, founder and CEO of Wattio (innovation in energy efficiency); and the storyteller Belén Torregrosa. The workshop was aimed at final year students of degree program and professionals.

TED is a U.S.-based non-profit organization that convenes an annual event where some of the world's most recognized thinkers and entrepreneurs in their fields present their most brilliant, innovative and inspiring ideas. Its motto is "Ideas worth spreading" .

In addition, TED provides licenses to all those local initiatives that want to organize a lecture with the same spirit. These are the TEDx events. Thus, a group of 12 students from the Schools of Economics, Law and Communication have started up TEDxUniversity of Navarre.

"We hope that the speakers we have invited will show us that we can do great things in the midst of the ordinary, bring that little special point, that little spark to everyday life. What we are aiming for in organizing this event is that everything that happens on the evening of the 19th will inspire, make you think and propose things. At any level. Shaking the ordinary is within everyone's reach", explains Jaime Martínez de Velasco, student of the 6th year of the double bilingual program licentiate degree in Law and Economics.

They also participate in the organization of TEDxUniversityofNavarre Iñigo Navarro-Rubio (6th year Law + Economics bilingual), Jorge Panera (4th year Audiovisual Communication), Macarena Guerrero (3rd year ADE), Lucía Rodríguez de Blas (Nurse), Melanie García (3rd year Journalism), Sofía Altimari (3rd year advertising y RR.PP), Itziar Masifern (3rd year Law + bilingual ADE), Juan Mira (4th year Journalism), Paco Aranda (3rd year Law + bilingual Economics ), Gabriel Dawid (4th year Law), Javier Arteaga Jordá (4th year Law)
