"The creation of a climate of trust between teachers and students is core topic for the good development of Business Ethics classes". This was underlined by Professor Alejo Sison during his intervention at the workshopTeaching Business Ethics organized by the School of Economics of the University of Navarra on June 8.

"It is not so much a matter of flattering the students by telling them what they would like to hear, but of conveying what the teacher believes they need to know in order to do well," added Sison. In this sense, the professor pointed out that students should not be seen as customers to be satisfied, but that they should understand that they themselves are the product that, with their permission, the professor financial aid is helping to forge.

The workshop organizers believe that ethics has gained widespread recognition as a central discipline of business and say that this meeting seeks to create a forum to discuss how to apply business ethics theory to internship.

Professor Alejo José G. Sison is Full Professor of the School of Economics and Visiting Professor of the Busch School of Business and Economics of the Catholic University of America for the academic year 2018-2019. In addition to teaching, he also conducts research in the field of business ethics through the group Virtue Ethics in Business of which he is director, along with Dean of the School of Economics Ignacio Ferrero.
