Inter-photo Arch, awarded at the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism
The congress International Inter-photography and Architecture is the result of an initiative between School of Architecture and the University Museum of Navarra.
The publication of the School of Architecture Inter-photo Arch, edited by professors Rubén Alcolea and Jorge Tárrago and co-published by the University of Navarra, has won an award at the XIV BEAU, Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism in the Publications category. The publication gathers a selection of the communications received to the International congress graduate Inter-photography and Architecture, which took place at the Museo Universidad de Navarra (MUN) in November 2016. This event was born as a joint initiative between the Museum and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and some of the members of the project of research Photography and Modern Architecture in Spain. The congress also received the support of the Ministry of Public Works and the high school of Basque Navarre Architects and the partnership of many other entities related to architecture.
The idea around which the congress, from which the award-winning publication was born, revolves, is that 20th century architecture is not only limited to "real experience", but also extends to the images that are presented and represent it. In final, he tries to show that the photographic representation of architecture is an active agent in the construction of modern architecture. Inter-Fotografía carries out this exercise of reflection in four aspects that give rise to the four volumes of the publication: Interactions, Interferences, Intersections and Interpretations.
The publication includes a hundred authors from a dozen different countries.
