The University will address how to incorporate the research to the internship advanced in oncology treatment.

This is the second session of the 'Oncology Nursing' cycle promoted by the School de Enfermería to address the challenge health issue of cancer.

The School of Nursing of the University of Navarra is organising the session "Mentoring and autonomy" on Thursday 24th February. It will develop mentoring skills, leadership educational, autonomy for the nursing professional internship and how to incorporate the research to make an evidence-based clinical internship .

This is the second session of the "Oncology Nursing" cycle promoted on the occasion of the launch of the new Master's Degree in internship Advanced Nursing in Oncology. This lecture series is aimed at all nursing professionals with the aim of addressing the health challenge that cancer represents in society, and how the internship Advanced can contribute to the care of oncology patients. 

Ana Rosa Martos internship , oncology nurse at the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria in Malaga; Antonio Ramón García, oncology nurse at the Hospital Universitario de Puerto Real, Cádiz; and Jorgina Serra, PhD student and Advanced Oncology Nurse at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, will speak at the session. 

 "Cancer affects thousands of people and their families, so nursing professionals are expected to be prepared to become the leaders and coordinators of the complex treatment and care teams that this disease requires," says Navidad Canga, manager of the new Master's Degree in internship Advanced Nursing in Oncology at the University of Navarra. 

The cycle will end on 11 March with the session "management Quality and Patient Safety" given by Isabel Mañas, a nurse from internship Advanced Palliative Care in a Palliative Care Support Team in Primary Care (ESCP-AP) in Seville. 

All sessions will be held online at 18:30h. Those interested can register via form on our website.
