Silvia Pérez Silanes obtains the accreditation of the National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation as full professor of Pharmacy.
The professor of the University of Navarra is co-author of more than 45 scientific publications of recognized prestige in the field of Medical Chemistry .
Professor Pérez holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra (1991), Master's Degree in research and development +I of Medicines ( 1992) and a PhD in Pharmacy (1996).
Since 1997 she has combined her teaching and research tasks with the coordination of Master's Degree.
Her work at research has focused on the design, synthesis, assessment biological and structural modulation of active molecules for the treatment of cancer, obesity and neglected diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and Chagas. The projects of research in which she has participated as director or researcher have allowed her to direct seven doctoral thesis (one in progress), eight thesis of Master's Degree and three works for obtaining the DEA. She is co-author of more than forty-five scientific publications of recognized prestige in the field of medical Chemistry .
Currently, her research is focused on the area of neglected diseases, especially Chagas. He is a member of the Ibero-American network for the research, development and Innovation of Anti-Chagas Medicines (RIDIDMEDCHAG) of CYTED (Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for the development).
