The building of the School of Architecture, registered in DoCoMoMo Ibérico
Four buildings at Campus have been included
In the year of its 40th anniversary, the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra has been included in the DoCoMoMoDOcumentation and COnservation of the architecture and urbanism of the MOdern MOvEMENT, a registry that catalogs the most significant works of Modern Architecture between 1925 and 1975.
Of the eleven works from Navarra included on this occasion, four belong to the Campus of the University of Navarra. The School of Architecture itself (by Carlos Sobrini, Rafael Echaide and Eugenio Aguinaga), the university dining hall building (by Rafael Echaide), the Science building, also by Carlos Sobrini, and the second phase of the Clinic, by Ignacio Araujo and Javier Lahuerta.
Ana Tostöes, President of DoCoMoMo International, will inaugurate the exhibition organized by COAVN on Thursday, November 22 at 7 pm, with the participation of Professor José Manuel Pozo, Architect advisor for COAVN in Navarra in Iberian DoCoMoMo.
The sample can be visited at the headquarters of the COAVN of Navarra (Avda. del Ejército, 2) until February 15, 2019.
