The Royal Spanish Academy, the pro-RAE Foundation and the Endesa Foundation are pleased to invite you to participate in the hackathon (challenge) "Neologismos y tecnicismos en el ámbito energético y medioambiental", to be held between 14:00 h on May 7 and 14:00 h on May 8, 2021.

The challenge, framed within the project LEIA (language Spanish and Artificial Intelligence) of the RAE, focuses on the application of technology and artificial intelligence in the study of the use of neologisms and technical terms in the energy and environmental sector. During 24 hours and all via internet, the participants will be able to work on their proposals (uninterruptedly if they wish). The goal and the specific questions to be solved will be announced on the same day of the event, through its own web page, www.retolenguayenergia.com, and the webs www.rae.es and www.fundacionendesa.org.

On the day of challenge, at 13:30 h, there will be an initial presentation to position of director of the RAE, Santiago Muñoz Machado, and the president of Endesa and the Endesa Foundation, Juan Sánchez-Calero Guilarte. Then, at 2:00 p.m., the topic will be unveiled and the challenge will begin. From that moment on, the participants will have 24 hours to complete the competition.
