A graduate and a former professor of the University of Navarra are part of the new Executive Board.

Pedro Morenés (Minister of Defense) studied Law and Luis de Guindos (Economics) was a professor at School of Economics in 2005.

The new government presented by Mariano Rajoy has among its ministers a graduate from the University of Navarra and a former Visiting Professor. Pedro Morenés, the new Minister of Defense, graduated in Law in 1972 at the academic center; and Luis de Guindos, Minister of Economics, taught Spanish Economics at this University in 2005.

Born in 1948 in Las Arenas (Vizkaya) and after completing his programs of study at this academic center, Morenés specialized in Law at business. He worked in Astilleros Españoles S.A. and directed the Legal Services of the Shipbuilding Division of the National Industry high school (INI). committee Since March 2005 he has been University Secretary of the Círculo de Empresarios and in January 2009 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construcciones Navales del Norte, S.L.

Luis de Guindos was appointed in 2005 Visiting Professor of the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Navarra, where he taught for one academic year the subject of Economics Española. Between 1996 and 2004 he held several public positions: director general of Economic Policy and Defense of the skill, University Secretary of Economic Policy and Secretary of State of Economics. In the private sector he has also held various positions of responsibility.
