The School of Economics signature agreements of exchange with Essec and EM Lyon Business School
The goal of the area of International is to expand quality destinations in continental Europe to enhance the third language of students.
The School of Economics of the University of Navarra has signed agreements of exchange of students with French business schools Essec y EM Lyonthe third and fourth in the Eduniversal ranking in France. "We want to strengthen our network in Europe with top universities, especially in France and Germany, to enhance the third language of our students," says Mari Carmen Bielza, director of the area International School.
Essec, the technical school of Economic and Commercial Sciences (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales - ESSEC) was founded in Paris in 1907 and is one of the leading business schools in France. In 1973 it moved to its current campus in the Parisian suburb of Cergy-Pontoise. ESSEC was created in 1907 by the Jesuits of the Institut Catholique de Paris. It is considered one of the most prestigious tertiary programs of study institutions in France and Europe, according to Wikipedia.
EM LYON Business School is an international business school and one of the leading Grandes Ecoles in France. It is one of the oldest business schools in the world, established in 1872. It has its own campus in Paris, Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Casablanca and Shanghai. LC, with a network of 26,000 alumni in 107 countries and an international and multilingual academic staff , welcomes around 3,300 students from 80 nationalities each year.
lecture Nafsa in DenverOn the other hand, a delegation from the University of Navarra recently attended the international congress organized by NAFSA (National Association for Study Abroad) in Denver. The team from the School in Economics spent the time meeting with some of the 109 partner universities and also preparing agreements with future partners. "Outside of Europe our focus is on Australia and New Zealand. There is a growing interest from our students for this subject of destinations," explains Bielza. "To the USA they travel for academic interest, to Asia, for cultural interest, but Australia and New Zealand combine both interests and receive the highest satisfaction surveys," he explains. The team also took advantage of the opportunity to visit the University of Northern Colorado, which has its campus an hour away from Denver.
This year, 209 students from School spent one or both academic semesters at partner universities abroad, and 210 international students visited Amigos Building at Campus in Pamplona.
