The Virtual Career Forum: Banking & Consulting 2020, organised by the University of Navarra and the IESE Business SchoolThe Virtual Career Forum: Banking & Consulting 2020, organised by the University of Navarra and IESE Business School, was an opportunity for professional growth for students from both schools. "Consulting firms and banks open their internship selection processes at the first semester of the course. Therefore, with this virtual fair we have covered the needs of both companies and students. Moreover, this is the first time we have organised a virtual fair with IESE Business School, which has helped us to attend to more companies and multiply the opportunities for students," says Roberto Cabezas, director of Career Services at the University of Navarra.

In total, 274 students participated in the virtual fair, where they were able to apply for 69 internship offers published by the 19 participating companies: Abante Asesores, Bain & Company, Baker Tilly, Banca March, Banco Sabadell, BBVA, BIP, BNP Paribas, Deloitte, EY, Globalpraxis, Indra (Minsait), Kearney, KPMG, Management Solutions, Nfq, Oliver Wyman, PwC, and Simon Kucher & Partners. In addition, the students were able to communicate with the companies via a public and a private chat to, for example, resolve their doubts and find out about their vacancies.

35.46% of the participants are students of the Campus in Pamplona, mainly from the School of Economics and Business Studies31.71% of the participants connected from the Campus of Madrid (including those from the MiM); and 6.57% are represented by students from Campus San Sebastián de la School of Engineering

Paula Julià Boquer, a Master In Management (MiM) alumna, has participated in other virtual fairs before: "I highly recommend offering students this online recruiting event subject , as it is a good way to network, which is a competitive advantage". He says the online format offers numerous advantages: "It gives you the opportunity to see comments and questions from people who are on the same status as you. In terms of information about the vacancies and their requirements, it was very clear and very well structured. We had the opportunity to talk to consultants directly from business, which was very beneficial for all of us".

On the other hand, Alicia Muro, a 4th year ADE student (bilingual), highlights the ease with which the virtual fairs make it possible to consult information on business and the offers to which one can apply. "In general, it seemed to me to be a totally original way of reinventing oneself, nothing was lacking! Diego Ibazeta, student in 4th year of Economics (bilingual), was also grateful to be able to take part in the virtual fair: "I was able to make the most of the opportunity and I was able to network with some recruiters. Many thanks to the organisers".

The University's next virtual career fair employment will be held in early March 2021 and will be of a general nature, i.e. it will be open to companies from all sectors. For more information, please consult the Virtual Career Forum website.
