Science
rigorous and relevant research with an interdisciplinary perspective
research is the driving force of the University and one of its most significant contributions to the common good. The work of researchers, academics and doctoral students contributes to expand the frontiers of knowledge and to respond to the challenges presented by society with the rigor of science, interdisciplinary perspective and a profoundly human vision.
In its Strategy 25/30, the University has defined nine priority lines of research grouped around three major interdisciplinary areas, in which it aspires to be a benchmark in research and to generate a positive impact, both nationally and internationally.
Health and care
ADVANCED THERAPIES
The knowledge of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of diseases is opening unique opportunities in biomedicalresearch and healthcare. Through the work of CIMA, Clínica and the Schools in the biomedical area , we aim to be a reference in the development of therapies that bring scientific advances to the patient and to encourage this research to lead to new business initiatives.
NUTRITION AND HEALTH
With the impetus of the Institute of Nutrition and Health, the challenges of this relevant field will be addressed, taking into account different perspectives, from the promotion of healthy eating, the prevention of chronic diseases and new therapies, to research on the metabolic processes involved in nutrition.
FAMILY AND CARE
Family relationships shape our world and are key to the well-being of individuals and society. They will be investigated from a social and health perspective, with a holistic approach and in the context of promoting the humanization of care.
Future, development and commitment
SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENT
The research of the BIOMA Institutein partnership with other centers, organizations and companies, will help to understand the environmental challenges, providing the rigor of science and an interdisciplinary perspective on issues such as biodiversity, mitigation and adaptation to climate change or circularEconomics .
Economics, SOCIETY AND development
The University intends to advance in the study of development models that have the person at their center and contribute to the care of the natural and social environment.
INFORMATION, REGULATION AND DIGITAL TRANSITION IN THE SERVICE OF TRUTH
In a context of technological disruption, accelerated by the emergence of generative AI, the University wants to contribute to enhance reliable information and the development and ethical use of these technologies as a means to promote citizen freedom and generate trust and social cohesion.
work, a transforming force in society
work theology
This line, initiated in recent years, is considered of special relevance because of its link with the statement of core values of the University of Navarra. It will deepen a theology of work centered on secularity, the lay vocation and the teachings of St. Josemaría, in dialogue with contemporary challenges.
sense of work and purpose
The philosophical, sociological and business aspects that shape the vision of work will be studied, as well as the difference between alienating and meaningfulwork and the intrinsic ethical consideration of work.
AGEING AGEING, PRODUCTIVITY AND work ORGANIZATION
From an interdisciplinary perspective, issues such as vocational professions and the organization of work, significant aging, or the articulation of the productive and careEconomics will be addressed.
There's still time!
