On Saturday, November 19, the Venezuelan singer Carlos Baute gave a concert in favor of Syrian refugees at the Baluarte Auditorium, which was attended by more than 800 people.

The €10,000 raised will go to the United Nations Refugee Agency(UNHCR) to provide resources to cope with the winter for people who have fled Syria as well as to help their integration in the host countries.

The concert has been organized by UNHCR 's Spanishcommittee and Tantakathe Solidarity Time Bank of the University of Navarra.

Carlos Baute sang some of his greatest hits such as "Te regalo", "Mi medicina" and "Colgando en tus manos", as well as one of his latest works: "Amor y dolor", in a concert that made the audience dance from the first minute but also had moments for ballads. The singer recalled, before performing "Who says it doesn't hurt", the reason for the concert and made accredited specialization to those more than 11 million Syrians who have fled their homes and to the financial aid that UNHCR could lend them if it gathers enough funds.

With the money raised in this solidarity concert, the equivalent of insulating mattresses for 1,100 families has been obtained. "From Spain with UNHCR we are delighted and very grateful, since the concert has achieved the two main objectives of our work: the first, to raise funds for the Winter Plan 2016/2017 and, the second: to bring the reality of refugees and displaced persons to the Navarre society", says Yolanda Andueza, delegate of Spain with UNHCR in Navarra. And she explains that the direct recipients are more than four million refugees who receive financial aid from UNHCR.

Sofía Collantes, coordinator of Tantaka, sample thanks Yolanda Andueza and affirms that collaborating with the organization of this concert has meant for Tantaka "the possibility of supporting UNHCR with the great and necessary humanitarian work it carries out with the refugees". He has also highlighted "the magnificent commitment of our volunteers, Adela Ortega and José Ignacio Alcorta, who had this initiative and got Carlos Baute to join the cause".

For her part, Ana Díez Fontana, territorial director of CaixaBank in Navarra, congratulated herself for the result obtained. "It is a great satisfaction to be able to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people who need it most, which is the main goal pursued by the Obra Social "la Caixa" with all its initiatives".

The concert has counted with the support of partnership of Obra Social "la Caixa", which has contributed 17,000 euros, and the City Council of Pamplona; as well as the support of Bodega Otazu, Cope Navarra, Hotel Muga de Beloso and Navarra Capital. In the weeks prior to the concert, other radio stations such as Track FM, Ática FM, Radio Universidad de Navarra, Radio La Explosiva and La Mega joined in the broadcasting support.
