Its project "Connecting Children", aimed at rural areas of Costa Rica, will be launched after winning the contest.

University of Navarra students Natalia Salas and Alan Dacanay won the award "Resolution Project" at the discussion forum of the UN WorldMUN held in Melbourne (Australia).

Their project "Connecting Children", which they presented together with Daniela Montero and Mónica Rodríguez (both from the University of Costa Rica), consisted of the socialfinancial aid to rural areas of Costa Rica with the program of one laptop per child. After winning the award, the project will be implemented.

The discussion forum of the UN WorldMUN took place between March 18 and 22 in the Australian city of Melbourne; and eight students from the University of Navarra participated in it: Almudena Azcárate, from Pamplona and student of International Law; Desiré Piña, Dominican and student of Law; Pedro Lloret, from Barcelona and student of Economics; Natalia Salas, from Costa Rica and student of Communication; Alan Dacanay, Filipino and student of Communication; Daniel Calderón, from Costa Rica and student of Economics; Camila Bodersen, German and student of Law; and María José Alarcón, Ecuadorian and student of Law.

WorldMUN is a forum that brings together more than 2,000 university students from around the world to debate in English on various topics of global interest. It is held annually and is led by Harvard University (USA) and the host university, this year Melbourne University. WorldMUN was created in 1992 in Poland and has since been held in Mexico, Switzerland and Egypt, among other countries.
