16 universities from 9 countries, in the Case Competition of the University of Navarra

In competition, the only one of its kind subject held in Spain, students must solve a real business case in 24 hours.

A total of 64 students from 16 universities and 9 countries are taking part in the 6th edition of the University of Navarra Case Competition (UNICC), the only competition of its kind subject held in Spain.

Throughout the week, students will meet at the University of Navarra's Economics School to compete in the resolution of cases from different companies. visit The programme of the event, organised by the University's Case Competition Club, also includes a guided tour of the old quarter of Pamplona and the Ochoa Winery in Olite, among other activities.

The teams from the United States, Canada, Norway, Singapore, Ireland, Germany, China, Thailand and Spain will act as professional consultants, presenting a proposal to the committee management of a business. To this end, they will be supported by their coach and students from School of Economics, called ambassadors, who will be in charge of guiding the international members.

At the opening ceremony, the Dean of the School of Economics, Ignacio Ferrero, stressed the importance of this competition, organised exclusively by students of the School of Economics. " UNICC is a unique forum for the professional development and a great opportunity to improve preparation for the world of business", he said. 

Resolution of a real case in 24 hours

Throughout Thursday 30th, the contestants will face the "24 hour case", a workshop of work in which the 16 teams will have to solve the same business case; with no other resources than the Internet connection in a room of the Hotel Tres Reyes, where the challenge will take place.

Each team will present its solution proposal on Friday 31st at the Amigos Building of the University of Navarra, in front of professionals from companies such as Gamesa, Findus, Deloitte or Bankinter .

As a novelty this year, the students of the Leadership and Governance programme of Degree at Economics will carry out a collaborative case study. To do so, they will have to formulate the best joint response to a given status .

The winners of the Case Competition will be eligible as award to participate in the IESE Business School's Young Talent Path, a pre-MBA programme .
