The professor of the Master's Degree in Personnel Management Service in Organizations (MDPO) and director of the Personnel Management Service Service of the University of Navarra, Ignacio Cristóbal, obtained the certification of the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) CERTIFICATION. "Having the possibility of being able to study and become certified with HRCI is an important step for any professional in this function at business," said Cristóbal. "The certification has encouraged me to delve deeper, by reading books and articles, into some of the topics related to Personnel Management Service," he added.

HRCI is the leading organization of accreditation for the human resources profession. This entity is dedicated to promote the HR profession through development and the administration of best-in-class certifications and accreditations and is considered the standard for HR expertise and excellence worldwide.

On the other hand, the executive believes that the future of Personnel Management Service depends, among other things, on a good management of talent, a good development of managers, or new modes of compensation. He also affirms that "management increasingly needs data to make decisions: big data, people analytics, etc. Without data we don't navigate well.

"The main skill of our function is listening. An HR professional who does not listen lacks one of the fundamental qualities. Without data what our people think, what they talk about, what they say, what concerns them, how they feel, what they need, etc., we do not serve our management. And there is no technique that can make up for that," he added.

Ignacio Cristóbal Urbicain is graduate in Law from the University of Navarra and has been working at Personnel Management Service since 1994. Cristóbal is a professor of Collective Aspects of Labor Relations at Master's Degree at Personnel Management Service in Organizations.
