Mind and brain

Fourth session of the"October with Cajal" series organized by the Science Museum to commemorate the Ramón y Cajal Year.

Javier Bernácer (researcher of group Mente-cerebro of the University of Navarra) and Carmen Cavada (director of the Chair UAM-Fundación Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno en Neurociencias) will give this session. It is estimated that the human brain weighs approximately 1.5 kg and almost 80% is water. It contains about eighty-six billion neurons connected through one thousand trillion synaptic connections. One of the great challenges of neuroscience is to know how the brain works, and in particular what is the relationship between the brain and the mind.

The entrance is free prior registration in www.pamplonaescultura.es, calling 010, or in person at any center of the network Civivox.
