Presentation
The Apostolic Constitution Praedicate Evangelium, published on March 19, 2022, came into force on June 5, the Solemnity of Pentecost. It is an outstanding law in the pontificate of Pope Francis and regulates various aspects of the teaching, the governance and promotion of charity on the part of persons and institutions that collaborate stably with the Roman Pontiff in the service of the particular Churches and all the faithful.
The relevance and topicality of the new rules and regulations stimulates a careful study of its main novelties, especially with regard to the general principles, the organization of curial institutions, the distribution of competencies, the nature and scope of the vicarious power of the curia, the participation of the lay faithful, and even the responsibility for curial acts.
