The II Promotion of the VW-Navarra Quality Chair is held at the University licence

The guest speaker was Salvador Olivas García, director general of the association Española para la Calidad.

Nineteen students with degrees in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Engineering, Law, Chemistry and Biology received the degree scroll of the Chair of Quality Volkswagen Navarra, after a year of preparation for this postgraduate course. With this new edition, two promotions have completed the program taught at the School of Economics of the University of Navarra.

The new Quality experts are: Sergio Álvarez Irurzun, César Manuel Campos Azócar, Daniel Casado Burgaleta, Nicolás Fernández Alonso, Carlos Galarreta Zangróniz, Javier Gracia Sarrasqueta, Xabier Guruceta Garmendia, César Gutiérrez González, Naiara Martínez Blanco, Silvia Martínez Lehmann, Valesca Montañés Weiss, Maite Osés Pardo, Mikel Ozcoidi Arizmendi, Joseba Pascual Goñi, Mirian Salvo Tellería, Miguel Ángel Sanmartín Melero, Silvia Tablado Irigoyen, Miguel Ángel Toledano Vera and Iñigo Uribeetxebarría Lanz.

The academic act was attended by Luis Ravina, Dean of the School of Economics of the University of Navarra; José Luis Erro Basterra, President of the committee Executive and Director General factory of Volkswagen Navarra; Salvador Olivas García, Director general of the Spanish association for Quality and vice-president of the European Organization for Quality; Ramón Bultó, President of the Navarra Foundation for Quality; Mikel Herrera, manager of Volkswagen Navarra for the Chair of Quality; Ricardo Mateo, coordinator of the Chair; and José Luis de Cea, Director of the Foundation business University of Navarra.

Among other projects, the students have worked on the implementation of quality systems management , continuous improvement plans, development of model EFQM, management by processes and project Six Sigma.

 

Areas of work

The Chair, which was born in 1998 as an initiative of Volkswagen Navarra and the University of Navarra, aims to train with this Postgraduate Degree a reduced group of graduates from various careers in subject quality and according to the specific needs of each business.

Among the companies that have requested experts in some of the improvement areas are Volkswagen Navarra, Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte; Aranzadi- Thompson; SKF; Kayaba Spain; Caja Navarra; Guardian; Irumold and Schneider Electic.
