"It is necessary for the teaching staff to support and bet on Service-Learning."

Last Thursday, March 30, Lorraine McIlrath, professor at the National University of Ireland Galway, expert in Service-Learning (APS) and director of the Community Knowledge Initiative (CKI), held a meeting with professors from the University of Navarra. Organized by the School of Education and PsychologyMcIlrath spoke about the international projects that she is currently carrying out within this subject.

"One of the problems is that, sometimes, knowledge is not transferred from one group to the next among APS groups", said McIlrath. Likewise, among other ideas, the expert indicated that it is necessary for the teaching staff to support and bet on Service-Learning and that at the National University of Ireland, where she is professor, students are being trained to represent a factor of civic change as part of their University Social Responsibility (USR).

This meeting with Professor Lorraine McIlrath was framed within her visit to Pamplona to participate in the international congress Building Universities Reputation (BUR), which took place on 30 and 31 March which took place on March 30 and 31 at the University of Navarra. This international forum on university reputation is held every two years and this edition, which addressed reputation from the point of view of students, was attended by nearly 250 people from 23 countries.
