The Excellence University Program 2010-2011 has begun, a project University of Navarra that was born thanks to the cooperation of several educational centers and the academic center, excited to improve the cultural training of the students of the University of Navarra and their capacity for action in society with a humanistic vision. high school diploma and their capacity for action in society with a humanistic vision.

The goal is that the participants are people with concerns, criteria, great professional and vital aspirations, together with a decided vocation of service to society. At final, the student who actively participates in the program will develop a differentiated cultural and professional profile that will allow him/her to face his/her programs of study university from a privileged position, as well as to initiate a development staff that will enable him/her to influence the world around him/her.

The program is developed over two years and is structured in four areas: University Competencies, Thematic Contents, University Orientation and Solidarity Action. Each high school proposes specific contents in each of the blocks. Two compulsory activities for all schools help to structure the development program: a work of research in teams and the monographic cycles of sessions.

Last year, pilot activities were carried out with the partnership of the high school Irabia of Pamplona. This year, thanks to a agreement signed between the School of Philosophy and Letters and the group educational COAS, the initiative will have the presence of three new schools: Ayalde, Munabe and Gaztelueta, all three located in Biscay. It is foreseeable that more schools, both national and international, will join the program in the coming years.

The University is involved in the development of some activities and in the academic direction of the program. Through an academic committee , made up of professors from different disciplines, the centers are advised and the proposed programs are endorsed.
