"Despite the strong evolution that means the incorporation of innovative building solutions in our country, the rules and regulations on acoustic welfare is still stricter in the rest of Europe than in Spain," said Alejandro Sansegundo, an expert in acoustics and environmental health, at the University of Navarra.

The technician, who teaches at the module management of Noise at School of Architecture, added that "in the coming years, it is possible that we will experience a new increase in the requirements, once the new construction systems and, of course, the current crisis in the sector have been overcome and assumed". He also explained that the deficient insulation in our Building will be mitigated thanks to the implementation of the DB-HR (Documento Básico de Protección Frente al Ruido): "The level of impact from adjoining rooms will be mitigated; airborne noise insulation will be increased; and the facades will be adapted to take into account external noise pollution".

Alejandro Sansegundo, partner in subject of Acoustics of the high school of Architects of Madrid and of the committee Superior of the Colleges of Architects of Spain, also made reference letter to the economic repercussion that has to condition properly the houses: "According to the administration, it comes to be ten euros per square meter, to which must be added the installation, supervision of execution, delay in the putting in work, checks of results, etc.".

In addition to the classes given by Alejandro Sansegundo, Miguel Arana, PhD in Physics from department of Physics at the Public University of Navarra and author of a wide range of scientific publications of international relevance issue and researcher principal of several projects; and those of Higini Arau, PhD in Physics, who runs his own professional office and has designed the acoustics of some of the largest auditoriums in Spain, including the Auditorio de Barcelona, the Kursaal, the Euskalduna, the Baluarte, the Príncipe Felipe (Oviedo), as well as the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, La Escala in Milan, the Tonhalle ST.Gallen, etc.

The lessons on management of Noise are part of the program of training on design Environmental and Construction, which will continue with four other modules on management of materials and systems; Passive measures on management of energy; Active measures on management of energy; and Energy certification.
