result Alberto Sanabria, Javier Oyanarte, Mikel Perea and Alberto Miranda, students of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, have won the competition international"Open Lisbon Room", organized by the"ARCHmedium" contest launcher.

The project, which bases its work on a place of the city of Lisbon, has been awarded, according to the jury's decision, for its"sensitivity with respect to the pre-existences" as well as for its "high level of complexity when articulating the elements used and the definition of the limits".

The proposal of these architecture students, a container for various activities and exhibitions for a central Lisbon place , has been a work "simple and without gimmicks", in the words of Alberto Miranda from Pamplona, one of the team members: "We believe it has worked because in a time of crisis we have not used too many components. The interesting thing about the proposal is that the limits of this cultural space we have created are undefined and leaves room for many possible functions, although the project also stands out for its containment".

The students, who were unable to travel to Lisbon to work in the field, expressed their satisfaction at having done "something better than they expected," according to Alberto Sanabria, another member of project MOPS.

For his part, Javier Oyanarte has stated that he would like "to have been able to carry out the project", but that the 2,500 euros of award and the experience for the curriculum "are more than enough" to feel satisfied.

ARCHmedium was born in 2009 and since then has been dedicated to the organization of architectural competitions for students and young architects. A digital platform for academic architectural competitions under the same conditions as professional competitions, in which a prestigious jury is in charge of the whole process of choosing the winners.
