49 teachers from high school diploma from schools in Tafalla, Pamplona, Vera, Garralda, Tudela, Burlada, Villava, Huarte, Barañain, Aoiz, Zugarramurdi, Estella, Puente la Reina, Sangüesa, Olite, Berriozar, Mutilva and Leitza are participating this week in training course in Biology and Chemistry co-organized by the Government of Navarra and the University of Navarra, where the activity is taking place.

The course, which has been held for several years at the academic center thanks to the partnership of several researchers, consists of one workshop on Biology, which will be attended by 27 teachers; and another on Chemistry, with 22 attendees. In both, professors from high school diploma will combine theoretical and practical sessions that can then be reproduced in schools, such as the detection of enzymatic activity with homemade Ph indicators, forms of bacterial resistance, physics experiments and Chemistry that can be done at home, as well as experiments on Chemistry and light or Chemistry and color.

In the opinion of Maider Urroz, CAP Pamplona advisor, "the interest of teachers is mainly focused on those proposals of an experimental nature that, taught by researchers of recognized prestige, can be transferred to secondary school classrooms". In this sense, he considered that it should be valued "very positively the partnership with the different institutions that contribute to the improvement of the Education of the Autonomous Community". "In this case", he added, "this activity has as goal contribute to the scientific and didactic update of the teachers of area of Physics, Chemistry and Biology".
