25 students from Chemistry of the University of Navarra have taught them what baboplast is or why a diaper absorbs liquids.
A group of 25 students from Chemistry of the University of Navarra has shown, through 13 different experiments, the presence of this science in our daily life to more than 1,500 students of secondary school and high school diploma of Navarra.
The sessions were held in 18 centers in the region between January 17 and 26. In each of the centers, in addition, sessions have been given for the 4th year of ESO, 1st or 2nd year of ESO, to reach a total of 81 practices. high school diplomaThe total of 81 practices has been reached. The students are expected to repeat the experience after the summer, in view of the success it has had both among the students and their teachers.
The practices, all of them very visual, aimed to awaken the interest of teenagers in Chemistry while explaining concepts such as pH, polymer or combustion. All this through experiments in which they made a homemade fire extinguisher, prepared a "baboplast" or showed why a diaper is absorbent.
