Silvia Larripa, a graduate of the School of Architectureof the University of Navarra, presented as project Fin de Degree a new space to house a collection of medieval paintings located in the cloister of the cathedral of Jaca.

These paintings, dating from the eleventh to the sixteenth century, were on the walls of the Aragonese Romanesque hermitages. The architect proposes "the need to create a space to suit them". To show them, based on the painting removed from the apses of three hermitages, in addition to linear fragments rescued from the side walls of others, Larripa creates some spaces as "caves" where these paintings rescued from the apses can be exposed in their exact size, shape and aesthetics. In this way, the visitor can walk through the space between images in a premeditatedly Romanesque atmosphere.

"Although I am from Pamplona, I spend my summers in Jaca and I feel very attached to this city. Walking through it, I have always wondered what use could be given to the empty lot located between the place of the cathedral and the place of Ripa, and what it could mean for tourism". And he emphasizes: "It is common to find hermitages, but nevertheless, their walls do not contain paintings, they are empty. People don't know that these buildings were built to contain them. In fact, the collection housed in the cathedral of Jaca is one of the most important in the world. And this is something that should have more repercussion".

Larripa's work is a part of TERMINUSa exhibition in which the best final works of Degree are shown, including those of his colleagues: Javier de la Riva, Javier Oyanarte, Alvaro Itarte, Francisco López, Rubén Aldaba, Ainhoa Arriazu, Asier Celaya, Carlota Guiu, Francisco Javier Goñi, Iker Ismael Perez, Alberto Miranda, Luis Gutiérrez, Miren Irigoyen.
