A team of four students from School of Economics and Business Administration participated in the McDonough-Hilltop Business Strategy Challenge (MHBSC) organized by Georgetown University. Miriam Barbería, Lidia Fernández and Francisco Planas, the three 4th year bilingual Business Administration and Management students, and Patricia Natasha Arrieta, 5th year student of the double bilingual licentiate degree in Law and Business Administration went to Washington to compete with 19 other teams from some of the best business schools in the world. They were the only European representatives.

The MHBSC is an international case-based competition of consultancy service for non-profit organizations and is organized by Hilltop Consultants, an alumni organization of the McDonough School of Business (Georgetown University), which since 2004 has been dedicated to promoting strategy and consultancy service.

Participants embarked on a nearly week-long competition in which they had to find unique and sustainable solutions to the problems posed by the client, which in this edition was the non-profit organization Goodwill of Greater Washington.

On the first day of the competition the client presented the case and answered the initial questions. Thereafter, the teams had 36 hours to prepare the solution. There were two rounds of presentations: preliminary and final. Although the University of Navarra students did not advance to the final round, it was a unique opportunity for the development of skills in the world of consultancy service and to expand their network of contacts in the professional world.
