Juan José Pérez Moncho wins the FYM Italcementi and University of Navarra Final Project Competition degree program

41 young people from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and France registered for competition, which rewards the use of concrete in an architectural project

Juan José Pérez Moncho, from the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has won the first award of the Final Project competition degree program of FYM Italcementi and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, consisting of a scholarship to study the Master's Degree in design Architectural which is taught at campus in Pamplona. The young architect's project , graduate 'Térreo. Mercado Cultural del Artista', was distinguished for its use of concrete as an important component of its design.

The second and third award went respectively to Cecilia del Pozo, from the University of Alcalá, for 'El zoco de Legazpi', and to Marcos Pérez González, from the University of A Coruña, for his 'Centro Comunitario de Marín'.

The jury was presided over by Julio Clúa, professor and president of the final project tribunal degree program at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, and was composed of professor Manuel Blasco, architects Basilio Tobías and Roberto Ercilla; Rafael Jurado, director of attendance Technical of FYM Italcementi, and Juan Balderrain, architect of this signature.

The submission awards ceremony will take place next October at campus in Pamplona, in the framework of an International Seminar on concrete construction solutions that will also include a exhibition with the winning projects.

A total of 41 young architects from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and France entered this competition, which is the result of a agreement-framework of partnership signed by both institutions for the training of students and graduates, and for research.
