The Chair of language and Basque Culture of the University and Etniker organize a workshop on the cultural heritage of Tafalla.

The Chair of language and Basque Culture of the University of Navarra and Etniker have organized a workshop on the cultural heritage of Tafalla. The lecture series will take place next Saturday, June 8, at the Cultural Center of the town.    

The meeting will begin at 10:45 h. with a presentation and at 11 h., the musicologist Alberto Magán will talk about the traditions and legends of San Sebastián, patron saint of Tafalla. This will be followed by the sessions "Ten years of 'Tafalla on foot': the blog that rediscovers the living history of the terms of Tafalla", at position by Javier Torralba, author of this blog; and "Los Pajes de Tafalla. Pioneers of the Navarrese jota"; by Iñigo Aguerri, writer of the book with the same name.

The workshop will end at 4:30 p.m. with a guided visit to Saso and its farmhouses, at position by Javier Torralba and David Mariezkurrena, member of Etniker and director of the magazine Cuadernos de Etnología y Etnografía de Navarra.

Sponsored by the Government of Navarra, the activity is open to all audiences. The organization will provide participants with a free bus that will leave at 9:45 am from the Pamplona Tennis Club and will return at 6 pm.
