The School of Pharmacy receives the award for innovation and research in Sports.
The center collaborates in the nutritional advice to the athletes participating in the Sports Talent Program

The School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra has received the award for innovation and research in Sportawarded at the University Sports Gala. This award recognizes the implication of the academic center in the nutritional advice and the nutritional Education of the athletes who take part in the Sports Talent Program of the academic center. The award was collected by the Alumni Associate Dean Alberto Pérez Mediavilla.
Sport has always been present in the academic curriculum of the School of Pharmacy. As an example, the Degree of Human Nutrition and Dietetics already offers some specific subjects and has agreements with sports centers for internships: Centro de high performing (San Cugat del Vallés), Centro de high performing e research en Ciencia del Deporte (Madrid), Centro Medicina Deportiva Larrabide (Pamplona), Unidad Regional Medicina Deportiva del Principado de Asturias (Oviedo), residency program Deportiva La Cartuja (Seville), Basic Fitness (Santander) and Policlínica Guipuzkoa (San Sebastián).
On the other hand, in partnership with the Spanish Olympic committee (COE), the School teaches the Diploma in Sports Nutrition, a pioneering program in Spain that aims to train dietitians with a greater Degree of specialization in sports nutrition, so that they can advise athletes, coaches, doctors or sports organizations to improve sports performance.
