Students from Master's Degree E-MENU participate in an international congress on nutrition and muscle loss.

Students of the EuropeanMaster's Degree in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism (E-Menu) of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra participated in the international congress . Nutrition and age-related muscle loos, sarcopenia and cachexia. The meeting, held in London, was organized by the Nutrition Society and the Royal Society of Medicine of the United Kingdom.
The congress focused on sarcopenia and cachexia, two diseases that cause muscle loss due to malnutrition or a sedentary lifestyle. The main topics addressed included the prevalence of these pathologies, the importance of the problems they cause and their epidemiological measurement. It was also discussed how nutrition can prevent them and the social, clinical and public dimension of suffering from them.
Participation in international congresses is a tradition at E-MENU. As part of the European character of Master's Degree, this year the students, in addition to London, are planning attend to the Meeting Nutrition-Neurosciences (France) and the European Summer School (Spain).
