13 Architecture graduates to carry out internships abroad thanks to the Navarra International Internship Scholarships
Its destinations are China, USA, Canada, Peru, Chile, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil and Uruguay.
13 Architecture and Technical Architecture graduates from the University of Navarra will carry out internships in companies in non-EU countries for 6 or 7 months thanks to the Navarra Scholarships, granted by the Regional Government. The program is part of the Navarra International Plan and has benefited 73 young people, 31 from the University of Navarra.
scholarship Specifically, the architects Cristina Vergara Lacuey (David Chipperfield Architects, in China), Laura Pacheco Peña (wHY Architecture, in USA), José María Urbiola Barberena (MaD Architects, in China), Cristina Úbeda Santamaría (Omer Arbel Office, in Canada), Ana Huarte Gaztelu (NOMENA, in Peru), Ana Iraizoz Unzurrunzaga (Mas y Fernandez Architects Ltda, in Chile), Nagore Escudero Aguirregomezcorta (OBRA Architects, in the U.S.A.), Javier Lecumberri Barrios (Veritas Architects SDN BHD, in Malaysia), Silvia Aracama Zubeldía (New Space Architects, in Singapore) and Ignacio Cervello Alonso (Habitat for Humanity Brazil, in Brazil); and technical architects Idoia Vicuña Berástegui (Estudio Lima SAC, in Peru), Naiara Garayoa Martínez de San Vicente (Adolfo Chávez y Arquitectos Asociados, in Peru) and Miguel Delso Martínez (Vanguardia Construcciones, in Uruguay).
The scholarships include travel to and from the place of destination, a stipend for living expenses (variable depending on the country), insurance and, when applicable, visa costs. For the awarding of these scholarships, the academic transcript (20%), the strategic interest for Navarra of the internship to be carried out (20%) and its suitability for the professional profile of candidate (60%) have been taken into account.
