Over the course of four sessions, the nearly 300 attendees of the Museo del Prado series organized by the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra and the Friends of the Museo del Prado Foundation have delved into figures such as Raphael, El Greco or Correggio.

For the coordinator of the cycle at the University of Navarra, the professor of Art History, Javier Azanza, the presence of this initiative in Pamplona is interesting, since "it allows us to listen first hand to the great specialists in the subject, who provide us with suggestive clues and update us on their recent research".

Under the degree scroll "El Museo del Prado: la era de los genios (siglo XVI), the Museo Universidad de Navarra has hosted for the second consecutive year this cycle that was inaugurated by the director of the course, the Full Professor of Art History of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Francisco Calvo Serraller, who focused his lecture on the birth of the geniuses and the Mannerist artistic theory.

The second session of the course was given at position by Fernando Marías, Full Professor of Art History at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, who gave a detailed tour of Raphael's final works, including the Vatican Rooms, the Chigi Chapel in the Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo and the Villa Madama.

The third session was given by Leticia Ruiz, head of department of Spanish Painting of the Renaissance and Early Naturalism at the Prado Museum, who spoke about "El Greco, paradigm of genius", stressing that "he is not an easy painter, he is controversial, and not everyone likes him, but that does not mean that his figure has not been associated with genius for a long time".

Manuela Mena, head of conservation of 18th century painting and Goya, was in charge of closing the cycle. She focused her lecture on the peculiarity of Correggio, a painter who "brings together the qualities that have made other painters great, but who did not manage to bring those qualities to excellence," according to Mena.

This cycle, with the participation of students, secondary school teachers, collectors and the general public, was organized by Viscofán and high school diplomacollectors and the general public, has had the support of Viscofán sponsorship and partnership of Fundación Diario de Navarra, and is part of the existing relationship between the School of Philosophy and Letters and the Foundation of Friends of the Prado Museum, through the practices of students and activities developed by teachers of area of Art History.
