School of Economics among the top 50 in the world according to the QS ranking by subjects

The School is positioned as the first Spanish in the field of Accounting and Finance.

The School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra stands out among the top 50 in the world in Accounting and Finance in the 50th position, according to the latest QS ranking by subject. In addition, it is ranked 101-150th in the world in subject in Economics.

Thus, with respect to the last 2016 edition of the QS ranking by subject, the School in Economics has moved up to the top 50, in Accounting and Finance from position 51-100, and in Economics from 201-250 to the top 150

In total, the University of Navarra has 11 areas of knowledge in the ranking where, in addition to those already mentioned, it stands out among the top 50 in the world in Business and Administration (position 27) and Communication (position 42). Also among the top 100 are Philosophy and Law (positions 51-100). Internationally, Architecture and Pharmacy (151-200), and Medicine (201-250).

Likewise, the University of Navarra is ranked as issue 1 in Spain in 'Social Sciences and management', one of the four large sections of the study that includes the different subjects; together with 'Arts and Humanities', 'Engineering and Technology' and 'Health Sciences'.

This year, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) evaluated 4,438 universities worldwide, of which 1,117 have been included in the ranking. The table takes into account four indicators: the academic reputation of the center, the opinion of employers, cited articles, as well as the 'H index', which measures the scientific production of researchers according to the quality and quantity of publications. QS has been carrying out its university rankings since 2004, and has become reference letter global for comparing university performance.

For her part, the director of International Office of the University of Navarra, Ana Delgado, expressed her satisfaction with the results: "We are very pleased with these positive achievements. At the same time, it encourages us to continue advancing in our project professor , the quality of the research, the international outreach and the interdisciplinary work . It is also a source of pride that the Spanish university system is climbing positions worldwide".
