Spanish university system continues to improve, with 10 centers among the 205 best internationally
The University of Navarra is ranked issue 1 in Spain and 37th in the world in employability, according to the 2017 QS International Ranking published today. This is the second consecutive time it has achieved the position at national level in this study, where 9 other Spanish universities appear among the 205 best academic centers. The University of Navarra has moved from the 51-60 rank in 2016 to the 37th position at the international level in 2017.
In preparing the ranking, QS takes into account five indicators. The University of Navarra stands out in Employer Reputation, that is, the opinion that employers have of graduates and their attitudes. It is also the leader in Spain in terms of Employer-Student Connections, a criterion that takes into account the issue of employers present at campus and who offer information, internship opportunities and a first employment to students.
Other scales analyzed in the methodology are: Alumni Outcomes, the success of graduates during their professional degree program , the positions of relevance achieved and their ability to serve society. As those responsible for the study explain, "to establish which universities train people with the capacity to change the world"; Partnerships with Employers, the partnership between each academic institution and different companies; and Graduate Employment Rate, which refers to the rate of employment rate.
For her part, Ana Delgado, director of the International Office of the University of Navarra, considers that "it is great news that the University is consolidating its position as source of employment opportunities for our young people, which is one of our top priorities".
Roberto Cabezas, director of Career Services at the University of Navarra, also expressed his satisfaction: "The results of the ranking encourage us to continue working to improve the training of our students both technically and in their managerial skills and to reinforce our commitment to the transfer of talent to society".
