Patxi Mangado, professor at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, has received three awards for the Spanish pavilion at Expo Zaragoza 2008, which consolidates this work as one of the most important by a Spanish architect in 2008. In Italy he has been awarded the 'Giancarlo Ius' gold medal and in Spain, the award Fernando García Mercadal de Aragón and the award National Architecture Award from committee Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos.

"It is a great satisfaction to receive each of these awards, as they are a award for a work carried out with enthusiasm and a lot of desire. They are a professional recognition for a building that has been very well received by the public," said the architect.

Another professor from School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, César Martín Gómez, also worked on this project, which took three years to build, as manager for installations.

It should also be noted that last January, the U.S. magazine 'Architect Magazine' considered the Spanish pavilion one of the five best international projects of 2008. In addition, this work has earned it the First award Construmat 2009 for Technological Innovation in the category of Building and the Special accredited specialization of the 'award Internazionale Architettura Sostenibile Fassa Bortolo' in Ferrara (Italy).
