Architecture students visit emblematic buildings of Zaragoza and Huesca

Students of Contemporary Architecture I visited project to learn about the restoration of the Aljafería of Zaragoza

Several students of subject Contemporary Architecture I, taught at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, guided by Professor Javier Martínez González, visited emblematic buildings in Zaragoza and Huesca.

First of all, the professor of the School of Architecture Mariano Pemán showed them the project restoration of the Aljafería in Zaragoza, the new seat of the Cortes de Aragón.

They then visited the facilities of Expo Zaragoza 2008, where they stopped at the Spain Pavilion, by Patxi Mangado and Luis Moya; the Aragón BBVA Pavilion, by Daniel Olano; the Bridge Pavilion, by Zaha Hadid; the Conference Center, by Nieto and Sobejano; and the River Park, by Alday and Jover.

In Huesca they visited the Palacio Municipal de Deportes, by Enric Miralles; the Centro de Arte y Naturaleza-Fundación Beulas, by Rafael Moneo; and the sample 'Museos en el siglo XXI, which will be exhibited in several European cities. Finally, they visited the Julio Gavín Drawing Museum 'Castillo de Larrés'.

On Saturday 15, the students of the subject will travel to Vitoria for the visit of the month of October.
