More than three hundred people have participated in the second session of the Cycle 'Training to understand disability' of the University of Navarra. The discussion paper was given by the counselor of Education of the Government of Navarra, José Iribas.

During his speech he offered a vision of disability from the field of Education, in which he showed the different educational itineraries for people with disabilities. He also stressed the importance of being trained in this subject from any field: architecture, law, journalism, not only from the Education, "because only what is known can be approached correctly and because, in addition, any of us here can have a disability during our lives," he said.

José Iribas also explained the need for a society made up of happy people who "feel good in their own skin", each with their own circumstances. The aim, he explained, is to ensure that people with disabilities have the necessary tools to be able to grow in staff, socially and professionally: "Success lies in ensuring that everyone gets the most out of themselves according to their circumstances, and also in helping each of us to get the best out of ourselves".

The course, organized by Tantaka, the Time Bank of Solidarity of the academic center, will hold the third session of the cycle 'Training to understand disability' on Monday 16. It will be given by Rocío Sánchez-Carpintero, a neuropediatrician from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. The session will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. at auditorium of Science Library.
