Ignacio Arellano, director of the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra, has participated in the 2010-2011 Advanced Course specialization in Philology Hispanic of the committee Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), directed by Dr. Miguel Ángel Garrido Gallardo. This course comprises 600 teaching hours and is aimed at graduates and doctors who wish to follow degree program academic in any university department or research of international Hispanism. Integrated by three large blocks of 'language Spanish', 'Literature in Spanish' and 'Theory and Culture', its content is configured in a series of cycles that, through the method of example and lesson, put in contact students with the current state of the research in different fields. Prof. Arellano has been invited to dictate a seminar on the life and work of Francisco de Quevedo.

GRISO's research on Quevedo

Quevedo is precisely one of the most outstanding lines of research of the GRISO. The framework of project has recently published his complete theater (in a critical edition by Ignacio Arellano and Celsa Carmen García Valdés) and a critical edition of his complete poems is in preparation. In addition, GRISO edits the magazine La Perinola, published by Publications Service of the University of Navarra. Published annually, it is the only magazine monographically dedicated to the writer from Madrid and has already reached 14 issues ( issue 15, corresponding to the year 2011, is currently in press). La Perinola also has a collection of 'Anejos' that collects various works dedicated to the research of Quevedo's themes, in which 21 volumes have already been published.
