The high school Científico y Tecnológico de Navarra (ICT), promoted by the University of Navarra, and the Navarra Agency for Innovation organized an informative session to publicize the mobility opportunities offered by the Marie Curie program of the European Commission to entities of research and development. The session was held at the research center Médica Aplicada (CIMA) and was attended by more than 80 people from universities, various centers of research, SMEs and consulting firms. The session marked the beginning of the Science Week in the Comunidad Foral.

The lectures were given by two experts from mobility. First, Begoña Arano, from the General Administration of research of the European Commission, gave an overview of the different modalities of action of the program and characterized the Marie Curie Actions as "the most accessible money within the VI Program framework" . He also emphasized the high percentage of projects approved for partnership between industry and academia, a trend that "is partly due to the few proposals that reach the Commission for this modality". However, he stressed the importance of these collaborations for the future and the VII Program framework, where these collaborations will have an even more significant role and which is expected to start in January 2007.

Almudena Carrero, expert in mobility of the Foundation for the knowledge Madrid, explained the calls currently in force and gave advice on the preparation and presentation of proposals for mobility. In addition, she explained the European portal for mobility as a starting point and reference letter for concrete and practical doubts that could lead to displacement.
