More than 100 students and 15 companies from Education, Culture and Art close the conference Sectorial

The workshop was the last of the six aimed at promoting the employment university.

More than a hundred university students came to Central Building of the University of Navarra to participate in the sixth sectorial workshop Sector Focused Career Fair 2015, aimed at promoting university employment .Professionals from fifteen companies in the sector Education, Culture and Art and academics from the Schools of Education and Psychology and Philosophy and Letters have participated.

At the inauguration, the Minister of Education of the Government of Navarra, José Iribas, stressed that "these sectorial conference are a relevant bet that puts in value the connection between business and University", and encouraged university students to "take advantage of the opportunity to make yourselves known to companies and get the best out of yourselves".

In the first roundtable Areté Activa, EF Education First, Planetario Pamplona, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Huarte, high school San Cernin, Tantaka, Fundación La Caixa, Sedena, Museo Universidad de Navarra and Senda Viva bought with university students and academics their vision of the professional opportunities offered by the sector. They highlightedinternships as a good selection process when it comes to joining the business and the importance of attitude in candidates.  

Throughout the morning, participants attended a round of company presentations and interacted in the networking space with professionals. In the afternoon, three alumni of the School of Philosophy and Letters eexplained to the university students how they have come to work in companies such as Coolwake, Centennial or Abante Consultants, to show the different professional careers that can be carried out by a humanist.

The event also addressed the employment opportunities abroad through a presentation on employment international network European of employment (EURES) and the webminar "The experience of teaching class in UK". It was given by Simon H Larter, Headmaster of St John's International School and partner as tutor intern at School of Education and Psychology.

This is the last of six sectorial conference , organized by Foundation business University of Navarra goal to bring the reality of the labor market closer to university students and the academic world. More than 80 companies and 1200 university students have participated in the conference, which took place between January and March at the University of Navarra.
