The GRISO co-organises an international colloquium on Dulcinea in El Toboso (Toledo).

More than a dozen international Cervantes scholars participated in meeting .

From 7 to 9 July, the town of El Toboso (Toledo) hosted the international colloquium "Dulcinea del Toboso. Cervantes' creation and other recreated Dulcineas". The meeting, in which 14 Cervantists from 7 countries (Spain, Chile, United States, France, Italy, Peru and Portugal) took part, was co-organised by the group de research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the School de Philosophy y Letras of the University, the Town Council of El Toboso and the Hospedería Casa de la Torre. It also had the support of partnership of the group de research Teatro Clásico Español (GITCE) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), the Diputación de Toledo, the high school de programs of study Auriseculares (IDEA), the association de Cervantistas, the Ruta del Vino de La Mancha and the Bodega Campos de Dulcinea

The opening ceremony, held in the town's Town Hall, was attended by Pilar Arinero, Mayoress of El Toboso; Rafael González Cañal, from the University of Castilla-La Mancha; Santiago López Navia, from the UNIR; and the academic coordinators of colloquium, Isabel Fernández Morales, from the Hospedería Casa de la Torre, and Carlos Mata, from the GRISO.

Cultural Activities Office visit The academic sessions of the programme were complemented by various other activities, such as a Cervantes gathering with wines from La Mancha at the Hospedería Casa de la Torre; a literary walk through the streets of El Toboso to Dulcinea's palace; and a visit to the Casa Museo de Dulcinea and the Cervantino centre, among others. 

On the 9th, the activities were held in Villaescusa de Haro (Cuenca), the birthplace of the Cervantes scholar Luis Astrana Marín. There, at partnership with the town council, tribute was paid to him in an event that included a roundtable about his figure and his research work and a visit to the church of San Pedro Apóstol, where those present were able to enjoy the organ concert "Música tras unas lecturas del Quijote", at position by Antonio Zapata Bosch.
