Students of the subject Quality Management of the Degree of the School of Economics, mostly students of the exchange program of 18 different nationalities, traveled to the assembly plant of Aernnova Aerostructures, in Berantevilla (Álava), to learn first-hand how this Spanish company business , supplier of the world's largest manufacturers of airplanes and helicopters, such as Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer and Sikorsky, manages quality.

During the visit, in which they were accompanied by Professor José Enrique Arizón, the students had the opportunity to see in situ how quality is implemented in a real business , and to verify that the same tools studied theoretically at class are used and play an important role in the company's competitive strategy.

The students were divided into small groups to tour the different assembly stations of the plant, guided by the members of AERNNOVA's Management committee . At the end of the visit the Head of Engineering and Quality of the Brigi Corta factory (TECNUM '00) gave a presentation of the strategic lines and the quality systems and procedures carried out by business.

The high percentage of non-automated work, the central role of employees in the company's strategy, the strong culture of business oriented towards end-customer satisfaction and the level of quality demands of the aerospace industry were the things that most caught the attention of the students.
