The Conservatory of Music of Navarra will pay tribute to Pink Floyd in a benefit concert in favor of Helpify, a platform promoted by the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) of the University of Navarra, to promote the research of diseases that currently have no cure.
The event, organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the album "Animals" by the British rock band, will take place on January 20, at 8 p.m., at the Fernando Remacha Auditorium (Paseo Antonio Pérez Goyena, 1, Pamplona). "The entrance is free until fill in capacity, prior withdrawal of invitation in the auditorium or at the reception of CIMA (Avda. Pío XII, 55) from Tuesday 17. We have also enabled a row zero for anyone who wishes to make their contribution, which will go entirely to support projects of biomedical research . Any donation, no matter how small, financial aid to find treatment for diseases as close to home as cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or cardiovascular problems," explains Alberto Navascués, professor of Modern Music at the conservatory. Anyone wishing to collaborate with the "Fila cero" can do so through the Helpify account (IBAN ES89 2100 9161 4122 0015 9486) or directly on their website: helpify.es.
The performers of the concert will be the teachers Andoni Arcilla (vocals), Juanma Urriza (drums), Antón Giménez (bass), Ulrich Calvo (guitars), Ion De Luis (guitars), Alberto Navascués (keyboards) and Jorge Senosiain (technician).
"Rebellion at conference room""Rebellion on the conference room" is the degree scroll of this concert in allusion to the novel "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, in which the album "Animals" is inspired. For this reason, during the interpretation of the songs of this album, the music will be interspersed with the reading of some fragments of the book. In this way, according to Alberto Navascués, "the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra wants to unite music and literature in this anniversary dedicated to a solidary cause with its support to the Helpify platform". Thus, the concert counts in turn with the partnership of the Public Libraries of Navarra.
