In this episode, historian Francisca Colomer recounts the life of Ramona Sanjurjo, one of the first supernumeraries of Opus Dei.
Ramona was born into a well-known family in Vigo (Galicia, Spain) on January 20, 1916. She grew up in a dynamic environment full of professional concerns.
She joined Opus Dei as a supernumerary in 1948. She always lived in Vigo, where she took care of her family and participated in the apostolic work of Opus Dei in Galicia and Portugal at development .
Through her narrative Colomer presents some glimpses into the life of this vital and generous woman, whose enthusiasm and sacrifice made her a leading figure in Vigo at the beginning of the 20th century.
Francisca Colomer holds a PhD in History from the University of Murcia. She has researched on the new historiographic paradigm, the role of the historian and biography as a historical method.
