15 European technicians debate at the University of Navarra on Building sustainable and energy efficiency

The School of Architecture hosted a meeting of project Adapt4EE, with the participation of 9 institutions, universities and companies from 6 countries.

15 European technicians participated in the last meeting of the project of Building sustainable Adapt4EE, which was held at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. At the meeting, these professionals discussed the latest challenges related to energy efficiency in contemporary architecture.

The initiative aims to purpose create an open source software, compatible with the different programs commonly used by architects and engineers in Europe, which will allow the introduction of human behavior as a variable in improving the energy efficiency of buildings and facilities.

The previous meeting plenary of project Adapt4EE took place in Ireland last June 11-12, and the next quotation will be held in Thessaloniki (Greece) next November 15-16.

In Adapt4EE, which will end in October 2014, nine institutions, universities and companies from Greece, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal are collaborating, with funding of 3,630,000 euros. On behalf of the University of Navarra, researchers César Martín Gómez, María Eguaras, Iñaki Esteban and Marina Vidaurre are participating.
