UNHCR's Solidarity Concert "Warmth for Refugees" raises more than 1,000 euros
The initiative counted with the partnership of Tantaka and the group of students Aunom of the University.
Acnur 's Solidarity Concert "Warmth for Refugees", held on Friday, March 11 at auditorium del high school Mayor Belagua, obtained 1,147 euros with the sale of tickets. In total more than 280 tickets between attendees and row zero.
The initiative, which has been supported by Tantaka and group of Aunom students of the University of Navarra, aimed to raise money for the purchase of thermal material (blankets and clothes) and to repair the tents in the refugee camps. It was also an action that aimed to raise awareness among university students of the status that thousands of people are suffering.
The concert, which began after 8:00 p.m. and went on until 10:30 p.m., featured five musical groups of different styles, such as Patricia Olmedo, Winston, Portbou, Striving Possibles and Fernando Fernández. Between them they performed a varied repertoire of about twenty songs.
