Humor and frustration, in two psychology lectures
Last Friday, March 10, two new psychology conferences were held, which addressed the topics of humor and laughter, and loss.
The morning session, which led by degree scroll Brain and laughter: humor at "first sight".position , was given by Carmen Torres, professor at department of Psychology at the University of Jaén. In her exhibition, Torres pointed out that the sense of humor and laughter are universal experiences, "the only difference is in what makes us laugh". She also wanted to emphasize the benefits of laughter, such as being "a good antidote to depression" or "a clear enhancer of creativity". The professor of the University of Jaén also wanted to clarify that humor is properly human, while laughter is not: "in apes, for example, laughter is a tool of interaction and social cohesion".
In the afternoon, the professor Full Professor of department of Psychology at Texas Christian University, Mauricio Papini, focused his lecture on frustration, in a session that he led by degree scroll Loss: from vulnerability to resilience.
