Óscar Andrés Quintela and Iván Andrés Quintela, graduates of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, together with their partner Lourdes Pérez Castro have received the award International VETECO/ASEFAVE 2012 to the Performance in Rehabilitation for a project of their study, Arrokabe Arquitectos SLP.

The distinguished work is the Resource Center for People with Disabilities in Silleda (Pontevedra), built in 2008. In addition, Carpinsecoya s.l. has been recognized as the manufacturer of the exterior carpentry.

The recognition seeks to value the research and innovation in exterior carpentry for its adaptation to situations in the field of rehabilitation, the design and its implementation, adaptation to the environment, respect for the environment and the contribution to energy efficiency and overall sustainability of the building, as well as the quality guarantees adopted in the process of design and production.

'Performance in rehabilitation' is a new category of the VETECO/ASEFAVE awards, introduced in the tenth edition of the awards. "In many cases, it is the cases of rehabilitation that require the greatest amount of innovation and technological effort in both the manufacture and installation of the products. Hence the establishment of this category of award", says the organization.
