Expertos en acústica y salud ambiental imparten un curso sobre ‘Gestión del ruido’ en la Universidad de Navarra
Experts in acoustics and environmental health give a course on 'management of noise' at the University of Navarra
Among the speakers will be Higini Arau, author of the acoustics of auditoriums such as the Baluarte, the Kursaal, the Liceo in Barcelona and the Escala in Milan.
The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra gives a course on 'management of noise', which is part of a new program of training in design Environmental and Constructive. Three national experts in acoustics and environmental health are participating in the sessions: Miguel Arana, Alejandro Sansegundo and Higini Arau.
The goal of the course, as explained by its coordinator, professor César Martín Gómez, is to provide professionals with "a specific knowledge in acoustics that will allow them to specialize in a professional field at plenary session of the Executive Council development ". It will also delve into the application of the specific rules and regulations on this topic and its main novelties.
The first part of the program was given by Miguel Arana, PhD in Physics from department of Physics of the Public University of Navarra, author of a wide issue of scientific publications of international relevance and researcher principal of several projects.
The second, which ends today, is given by Alejandro Sansegundo, director of the architectural firm Acústica Sansegundo, which works on acoustic comfort in Madrid. He is also part of the list of architects specialized in acoustic installations of high school of Architects of Madrid, and is advisor acoustician of the same since 1998.
Finally, Higini Arau, PhD in Physical Sciences (specialization program in Acoustics), will close the course next week (October 21 and 22). This expert runs his own professional office, Arau Acústica, which has more than 30 years of international and 40 years of national experience. He specializes in all fields of architectural acoustics and facilities engineering, industrial, urban and road pollution. He has carried out the acoustics of many of the largest auditoriums in Spain, including the Barcelona Auditorium, the Kursaal, the Euskalduna, the Baluarte, the Principe Felipe (Oviedo), as well as the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, La Escala in Milan, the Tonhalle ST.Gallen, etc.
The training program at design Environmental and Construction will continue with four other modules on management of materials and systems; Passive measures at management of energy; Active measures at management of energy; and Energy certification.
