The Latin American Architecture Biennial (BAL) aims to serve as a channel to present in Spain the most recent and outstanding examples of the professional practice of young architects on the other side of the ocean, generating a forum in which to strengthen ties, shorten distances and establish a firm and solid counterpoint to the Anglo-Saxon universe.

The BAL is developed by combining events of diverse character, which take place in the city of Pamplona and the University of Navarra. School of Architecture University of Navarra.

The conferences showcase the work of selected young teams of Latin American architects showing their work, and take place at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra during the mornings. In the afternoon, in a complementary manner and at the Pamplona Citadel, conferences with guest speakers will be followed by round tables. All this will be accompanied, in the same venue, by a large exhibition that sample the work of the young architects selected for each edition of the Biennial, as well as a monographic exhibition on the guest country. Organized visits to the city and the region will complete the program.

The Biennial of Latin American Architecture is an initiative of the group of research AS20 of the School of Architecture of Navarra, and is organized with the partnership of the Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona, the City Council of Pamplona, the high school of Basque-Navarre Architects and the University of Navarra, who integrate its board of trustees.

BAL2015, to be held next April, will have Mexico as its guest country, which will lead to the organization of a exhibition and specific seminars on the status of architecture in this country.
